The Easter season is a special, because we are celebrating the most important event in history: Christ’s death, burial and resurrection! Christ lived a perfect life, died on a cross to pay the penalty for our sins, was buried in a grave, and then rose three days later defeating death and offering us the gift of eternal life! This is the gospel. What great news!

Celebrate this good news with us this Easter! If this will be your first time at First Baptist Prattville, we invite you to stop by the Connect Center in the Worship Center foyer before or after the service you attend. We would love to meet and connect with you!

Good Friday is when we remember Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross. He died a gruesome death, but it is “good,” because our good Father sent his Son Jesus for us. 1 John 4:10 says, “In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

Worship with us on Good Friday, March 29, at 6:00 p.m. We will sing about the cross and hear a message from Pastor Peyton about the cross. It’s a beautiful service that allows us to reflect on the deep love the Father has for us.

Then, on Easter Sunday, join us again as we celebrate Christ’s victory over sin and death! We offer three worship services on March 31: 8:15 & 11:00 a.m. services are contemporary in style, and the 9:15 a.m. service is traditional in style. The message from Pastor Peyton is the same for both services.

Sunday School groups will still meet at their regular times, including preschool, children and student groups. Preschool age worship groups (babies-kindergarten) are offered at 8:15, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Children (first-sixth grade) and Students (junior high and high school) classes meet at 9:30 a.m. If you are new and would like to try a group on Easter, reach out to these staff members. They would be glad to help you prior to your visit!

Another way you can take part in the Easter season at First Baptist Prattville is by giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO). This is the primary way Southern Baptists fund missions in North America. One hundred percent of gifts given to AAEO go to the field to support more than 2,900 missionary families serving across the United States and Canada. Our church goal is $125,000! You can give in these ways:

  • In-Person - On Sundays, you can place your AAEO offerings in the black Giving boxes located on the walls at the Worship Center exits.

  • Online - Visit fbcprattville.org/giving and select “Annie Armstrong – North American Missions”.

  • Check - Mail a check to: 138 South Washington Street, Prattville, AL 36067
